What is the Honar Scholarship Scheme?
- It is a merit-based and need-based financial aid program designed to help academically bright students from financially constrained people. Its main objectives are:

- Provide tools and resources to compete in a technology-driven and modern world

Phase 2 Overview:
- Unlike the first phase, which primarily focused on public universities, Phase 2 now includes:
- Government colleges
- Technical institutes and TEVTA-registered programs
- Diploma and vocational courses
Eligibility Criteria For Maryam nawaz Honhaar Scholarship
- Have domicile from any district of the Punjab
- Not be older than 22 years of age
- The scholarship is available to students in the 3rd to 8th semester of BS programs and the 2nd to 5th year of MBBS/BDS.
- Family monthly income should be less than Rs 300,000 (Affidavit Required) (Download Sample Affidavit)
- The Applicant must be enrolled in Selected Disciplines in the Selected Universities / Colleges
- Minimum 2.6 GPA last semester
- Students who meet the financial need criteria and are enrolled in public sector institutions in Punjab can apply.
- Minimum CGPA / Annual Exam Percentage requirements for scholarship:
- Public Sector Universities / Colleges (≥ 70% equivalent CGPA for Sciences and ≥ 65% equivalent CGPA for Arts
- Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges (≥ 60%) in annual exams
- Selection of merit criteria based on HEC Policy guidelines for Implementation of uniform Semester system in HEIs of Pakistan
Increasing Scholarship Opportunities
- The Honhaar Scholarships Program now doubles its previous scholarship count by increasing its program from 30,000 to 50,000 to reach more deserving students.
- How to Apply for the Honhaar Scholarship 2025?
- Students with a Punjab domicile can apply online through the CM Punjab Honhaar Scholarship Portal, which opens on 9th February 2025.

Check Honhaar Scholarship Application Status
Students who have submitted their applications for Phase II and want to know the status of their application. So they are informed here that the Higher Education Department checks your applications. After that, a merit list is prepare for you. In this merit list, the candidates are inform through email and SMS regarding their universities and colleges.
The government has not introduced any portal to know the status of their application. Therefore, your application is confirm through email or SMS.
