Punjab Livestock Loan Scheme 2025 has been launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Through this initiative, Livestock Cards will be provided to cattle breeders and farmers across Punjab. With this card, they can receive interest-free financial assistance. Maryam Nawaz chaired a meeting on the scheme and directed that the loan application process should be kept very simple so that farmers can access it without needing any special skills.

Financial Relief for Farmers in Southern Punjab through Livestock Support Scheme

The scheme is specifically designed to support agriculture and livestock in South Punjab. Under it, farmers can buy things like windrows, grass and mineral mixtures. They will be given a soft loan of up to Rs 250,000. This loan can be repaid in easy monthly installments within 90 days, and in case of an emergency, farmers can also take more time.According to officials, more than 40,000 farmers will benefit from this program.The Chief Minister said that she wants to make farmers economically independent so that milk production can be increased. She was told that interest-free loans will be given to male and female milk producers in rural areas of South Punjab.

The Farmer Guidance App: A Technical Resolution

To further help farmers, the government has introduced the “Farmer Guidance App”.Through this app, farmers will be able to view their loan information and get timely information about new government schemes.

This app will also provide useful advice and tips, especially for livestock farmers.

This app will soon be available on the Play Store and will be very easy to use.

Main Goals of the Punjab Livestock Card Scheme

The main objective of this program is to increase meat production to meet the growing demand of markets inside and outside Pakistan. To achieve this goal, the government is providing some facilities to farmers free of charge, such as free testing of silage and wanda (animal feed), identification marking of animals for record keeping, and free animal breeding facilities.

The Animal Identity Traceability System

Another important project is the “Animal Identity Traceability System”. Its aim is to keep a complete record of animals, from their birth to slaughter. This ensures food safety and allows for quick decisions to be taken in any emergency. The system makes animal information easier for farmers and also improves market access.

Eligible Criteria for Punjab Livestock Card Scheme

To get a Punjab Livestock Card, farmers have to provide their National Identity Card or any other identity proof, residential proof, and proof of ownership of the animals. The application is very simple and can be filled online on the official website of the Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Board.More than 40,000 farmers will benefit from this scheme, and about 4 lakh animals will be available for meat export. Target Beneficiaries

🐄 Livestock cards will be issued to 40,000 to 80,000 farmers.

📅 First year – 10,000 to 20,000 farmers 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾 and 100,000 animals 🐄🐐🐑
📅 Second year – 30,000 to 60,000 farmers 👨‍🌾👩‍🌾 and 300,000 animals 🐄🐐🐑

The applicant must be a resident of Punjab

📱 Registered Mobile Number
The mobile number must be registered with CNIC

🗂️ SPMS-9211 Registration
Must be registered in SPMS-9211 system

🐄 Own 5 to 10 Male Calves
Must have 5 to 10 male calves (buffalo or cow)

✅ Clean Credit History
No previous loan defaults or bad credit records

⏱️ First-Come, First-Served
Loan will be given on a first-come, first-served basis

💰 Loan Amount
Loan can range from PKR 135,000 to PKR 270,000
