CM Roshan Gharana Scheme has officially launched the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, also known as the Roshan Gharana Program. Under this scheme, Punjab consumers can apply for free solar panels from today through SMS or an online portal. The provincial energy secretary gave details of the scheme, saying that a total of 1,00,000 solar systems will be installed during this year. Under this program, 52,019 consumers who consume up to 100 units of electricity per month will be provided with free 550-watt solar systems.
Consumers who consume up to 200 units of electricity per month will also be provided with solar systems free of cost. To ensure transparency and fairness in this scheme, selection will be made through a computerized lottery.
